Our client is a large and complex Government asset-based organisation who operate across a vast operating area of Queensland.

Based from either Brisbane or Cairns they are looking to hire a Senior Systems and Strategy Officer to work within their Asset Management / Asset Governance group.



This role is responsible for the management, development and improvement of specialised network applications and systems for current and future strategies necessary to support the organisation's Asset Management activities.



This position will provide expert advice and lead the integration of Smallworld with spatial technologies or computer aided designs applications.



Key Responsibilities:



* Provide expert technical and analytical support to information and asset related projects to assist them to achieve outcomes that comply with the organisations information standards.

* Lead the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Asset Management applications, systems and reporting through the development and management of a framework of processes and tools.

* Lead the development of strategic plans for data and information improvement across Asset Management.

* Influence decisions and lead discussions on data and information management within the Asset Governance group

* Will lead the development of policy and strategy implementation across Asset Management.

* Will work independently or as part of a team in delivering key data systems.

* Will work with broad network data users across the business, including Asset Management, Operations and Asset Owner.

* Accepts responsibility for professional work, demanding a high level of expertise, independence, originality, ingenuity and mature judgment.

* Contributes to the organisation's short and long range planning process and to the formulation of the organisation's objectives, strategies and policies.



Person Specification:



* Demonstrated Technical Writing skills (high)

* Demonstrated analytical skills (high)

* IT Degree preferred /Associate Degree Accepted

* Advanced Tableau Reporting, qualification/experience in Tableau writer expert

* Writing documenting report specifications on exiting reports.

* Certificates in specialised Asset Management or GIS systems

* Expert knowledge in either Professional Electrical Engineering or in implementing IT based projects and systems with experience in the electricity supply industry.

* Expert skills in the use of Oracle queries, PL/SQL scripts, MS Office Technology skills and knowledge of efficient data structures.
