Themission of the Global Services Fraud and Compliance (SFC)organization is to protectthe HP Brand by proactively identifying, investigating and mitigating fraudulentand ineligible Services and/or Warranty delivery and taking affirmative actionsto recover associated losses and facilitate the prevention of future losses. The APJ SFC Investigator reports directly tothe Manager, APJ Services Fraud and Compliance (SFC) and is assigned to theAPJ SFC program area.



Individuals in these positionsare recognized experts capable of conducting complex highly sensitiveinvestigations. The investigator will also beresponsible for trending and analyzing investigative findings to facilitate the tightening and improvement of HP businessprocesses. Where appropriate,investigator will partner with legal, law enforcement and internal businesspartners to pursue remedies to protect HP and make HP whole against marketplaceabuses. This position will reside inAPJ.



Primaryactivities:


  • Conducthigh quality investigations into various issues impacting HP assetsbroadly defined as people, products, intellectual property and operations.

  • Generallyinvestigations focus on fraud or other complex matters in the HP services and/orwarranty environment.

  • AnalyzeHP transactional data to identify and prioritize investigative targets andquantify impact.

  • Team withHP product and services groups in identifying and quantifying risks and ensureprogram design reflects risks identified.

  • Conductinvestigations in partnership with HP corporate and business unit compliancefunctions (i.e. Services, TS, Channel Management, Standards of BusinessConduct, etc.) to uncover and minimize fraud and abuse in HP services andwarranty processes.

  • Utilizeand manage both internal and external resources in the performance ofinvestigations.

  • Assureall investigative actions and intelligence gathering meet HP’s ethicalframework and incident management protocols.

  • Workclosely with other teams to implement effective fraud prevention solutionsbased on MO’s identified through investigations.

  • Deliverprofessionally written reports incorporating all evidence required to proveinvestigative findings. Document regular reports of activity, reports ofinvestigations and after action analysis and recommendations to improve HP'sbusiness processes.

  • Managecase files and investigative data, both electronic and hard copy. Trend andanalyze investigative information and provide appropriate feedback.

  • Conductinformational and/or admission seeking interviews to ascertain the facts and developinvestigative findings.

  • Workclosely as appropriate, with HP Security, Legal, HR, Business Units, SBC andmanagement in pursuit of investigative issues.

  • Whereappropriate, partner with HP Legal, outside counsel, and Law Enforcement inpursuing legal remedies to protect HP's assets.

  • Providequantification of losses and investigative results to demonstrate return oninvestment.




Qualifications
Qualifications


  • University degree or equivalent diploma in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement or a related field of study preferred.



  • Developedleadership skills, including coaching, mentoring and teaching.



  • Professional security training and experience in conducting complex field, multi-countryinternational investigations.

  • Experience working with law enforcement, prosecutors and the legal community in preparing cases for civil/criminal pursuit.

  • Through knowledge of criminal and civil procedure as it relates to evidence gathering, privacy, interviewing, breach of contract, fraud, supply chain and intellectual property protection.

  • Competency with technology as it relates to investigations, and computer proficiency.

  • Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to review large amounts of data and customize, implement and/or execute innovative solutions.

  • Minimum 10 years experience in investigation.

  • Advanced interpersonal and communications skills, including presentation, reporting and consulting.



  • Provenability to work in varying situations, from committee work in which a “teamplayer” approach is essential to situations in which considerable independenceand self-motivation is required.



  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in complex situations.

  • Sound proven ethical judgment is a must.

  • Advanced project management skills, including planning, execution and implementation.

  • Developed business experience and financial acumen.

  • Multiple language proficiency desirable; English required.
