As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you
- Responsible for manufacturing and remanufacturing activities for multiple product lines, ensuring that performance (inventory, cost, etc.) meets regional business requirements
- Manage a team of non-exempt individual contributors; leads and coordinates daily activities
- Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes
- Ensure the delivery of products and services that meet the performance metrics defined by next level management
- Prepare monthly performance reports
- Support business or function wide process needs and solutions that may impact multiple business units and/or countries
- Focus on process quality and efficiency
• Lead and startup of the new production team for new production Line
• Supervise, lead, appraise and motivate a group of operators and technical operators to meet line output, yields and quality goals
• Manage work-in process, WIP and other resources to optimize operations efficiency at minimal cost
• Provide solution on day-to-day line issues & enforces escalation when necessary
• Maintain good housekeeping in the assigned area and a safe workplace
• Ensure compliance to all ISO and safety standards
• Manage and motivates people for improved morale, performance and development
• Administer Operators' and Technical operators' Pay and Performance ranking
• Responsible for working with Planning, Build and Shipment Plans alignment and delivery
• Develop and execute strategies, systems and tools to optimize cycle time and line inventories. Initiative on
cost reduction program
• Interface with Engineering, Technical Support, Supply Chain, QTI and FAB to resolve issues related to process
control, machine utilization, quality, materials availability, SAP transactions and inventory control
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing supervisory experience, good to have project management experience
- Possess Diploma qualification
- Have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of factory floor, material or warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language
- Knowledgeable of country specific legislative and regulatory compliance (e.g., import and export regulations; trade restrictions, EH&S). Utilizes the expertise of others as necessary
- Good qualitative and quantitative analytics and data modelling skills
- Good project management skills
- Good people management skills
- Partnering skills (e.g. improving the day-to-day performance of internal and/or 3rd party partners)
- Familiarity with Lean Sigma or Quality Improvement methodologies
