Client Virtualisation Sales Specialist - Thin Clients

The Enterprise Sales business of HP’s Printing & Personal Systems (PPS) Group provides a professional sales coverage model to manage, prospect and develop our solution offering. This is a multifaceted business covering a Corporate, Enterprise & Public Sector customer base via both direct and indirect routes to market.
This satisfying and diverse role delivers a true solution based offering to our clients, including a core focus on Thin Clients, VDI, and emerging technologies. In particular, the focus of this position is to increase HP's share within the Client Virtualisation business with a focus on complex solutions and new business opportunities. This objective will be accomplished by establishing a professional working relationship (up to the executive level) with the client, and by developing a core understanding of their unique business needs. The successful candidate will tailor strategy and solutions to meet the needs of the customer and interface with both internal and external/industry experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solution development.
This individual applies their advanced sales capabilities and industry knowledge to complex business issues, and is regarded by both customers and partners as a subject matter expert. The role encourages frequent contribution to the development of new ideas and creative solutions in a sophisticated environment where recommending the best possible customer solution requires an in-depth evaluation of the customer’s end-to-end environment and business needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
This role will report to the National Specialist Solutions Sales Manager within the Enterprise Sales team and own a territory covering Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia & Western Australia. Working alongside a team of Account Managers and Solution Architects, responsibilities will include:
- Identify, develop, qualify and close HP Client Solution opportunities (Thin Clients, VDI & emerging technologies);
- Creation and execution of detailed sales plan to achieve revenue, margin and market share objectives;
- Maintain weekly sales pipeline and funnel;
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with appropriate internal and external resources;
- Participate in account planning and strategy activity;
- Drive Client Virtualisation marketplace adoption through evangelisation at targeted events and trade shows;
- Present and Demonstrate HP Client Solutions offerings to customers and partners;
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of all aspects of HP’s Client Solutions.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- A solid and broad IT technical solutions background in a similar large & complex environment;
- Knowledge & experience working with Thin Clients, Citrix & VMware environments;
- Proven solution experience in dealing with problems of diverse complexity and scope;
- To be a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of quota achievement and over achievement in technology sales selling to mid to large organisations;
- Experience driving sales of new technology into the market place within the corporate, enterprise & public sectors;
- To have an innovative approach with sales solutions through your ability to conceptualise and articulate well-targeted solutions from proposal to contract sign off;
- Experience working with sales methodologies, tools and processes & have solid business and financial acumen.
- To be a self-motivated, competitive and goal oriented individual who works well autonomously or within a team;
- Strong communication (written & oral - including presentation skills) & relationship building (ability to build trusted advisor relationships with clients);
- ROI/TCO knowledge of product offerings.
