The Company



Our client employs in excess of 15,000 people around the world and is viewed as leading technical advisor to the Oil & Gas industry. They offer a variety of services to the Oil & Gas, Maritime and Energy sectors, including: technical assurance and advisory, risk management and offshore classification.

Due to an increase in workload they are currently seeking two CFD Consultants to join their London team, one at Senior level and the other at Principal level.



Job Role/Responsibilities



The successful individuals will be joining a team of CFD experts in the area of fire and explosion simulations for the downstream and upstream Oil & Gas industry. The role will involve working in a cross functional consultancy environment to deliver multi-discipline projects to major clients around the world. This will therefore involve both technical and managerial duties combined with a large degree of client interaction, with specific responsibilities including:



• Undertaking consequence analysis/fire & explosion simulations

• Assisting in project delivery, project management and business development

• Contributing to the departments business strategy and resource planning

• Mentoring more junior team members

• Publishing and presenting technical papers





Experience and Qualifications



The ideal Consultants will hold a postgraduate degree; with a particular focus on CFD modelling. Additionally, prior experience in consequence analysis (such as deflagration, explosion dynamics, flame radiation, BLEVEs, explosion overpressure effects, unconfined vapour cloud explosions) is required, as is a strong technical background in combustion/fire dynamics and a knowledge of Linux environment.
