Financial Analyst

Job Purpose:

The Financial IT Analyst is responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities for Europe as they relate to computer applications. The position involves participating in all projects relating to aspects of IT for the finance functions. Act as a function expert for Peoplesoft application.



Key Responsibilities:

AP & AR module implementation, configuration, development and trouble shooting First line support for Peoplesoft issues in UK and Europe

User support and training

Assisting to develop interfaces between source systems and Peoplesoft.

Produce and model business processes based on user requirements.

Complete business specifications for the appropriate development teams.

Coordination of interdepartmental resource and key stakeholders.

Bridging the gap between the practical side of business and the technical teams to ensure solutions meet with everyday requirements.

Participate in projects as required by the business as they relate to Finance and IT.

Other ad hoc.



Experience:

Accounting experience required.

In depth functional knowledge of Peoplesoft AR and AP modules.

Experience of Blackline reconciliation tool a distinct advantage

Knowledge of banking interfaces such as SEPA formats an advantage

Previous System testing required.

Previous Insurance experience desirable.

Delivery focused

Can work to tight deadlines

Ability to work and communicate with non-finance departments specifically IT developers

Highly computer literate

Well organised

Be proactive

Be able to work on your own

Be able to grasp complex transactions quickly.

Self motivated

Ability to work under pressure

Strong analytical skills
