Category Manager - FM

Fantastic opportunity to join the Peverel Group, the largest residential Property management company in the UK as a Category Manager for FM. The Peverel group are going through a process of transformational change within procurement, which you would be at the forefront of and tasked to embed the changes to assist the growth of the business. You will take full responsibility for all sourcing activities for the Facilities Management category, including repairs and maintenance, major works, cleaning and ground maintenance, to deliver significant demonstrable service improvements and cost savings.



Scope of the role



* Utilising the strategic sourcing process, take responsibility for all sourcing activities for the FM category (c£80m pa) including repairs and maintenance, major works, cleaning and grounds maintenance

* Rationalise supply base to bring consistency of service and cost

* Provide the business with suppliers who can deliver great customer service and value for money

* Create and lead cross-functional sourcing teams

* Identify opportunities for improvements and initiate and lead sourcing projects and "make or buy" decisions/business cases by analysing "as is" spend, commercial terms, business process and supply markets

* Support the Purchase to Pay and eProcurement initiative to drive end-to-end transactional purchasing cost savings and efficiencies

* Provide demonstrable evidence for all cost savings and customer service improvements



Qualifications and Experience



* MCIPS Qualified is desirable as is RICS and/or MIRPM

* Proven background in a senior procurement role within a similar fast paced, multi site and dynamic environment with evidence of clear tangible bottom line results and service improvements

* Strong experience of sourcing Hard and Soft FM is essential

* Strategic Sourcing and Outsourcing experience

* P2P and eProcurement systems knowledge and experience

* Project Management

* Knowledge of FM legislation, government policy and best practice

* Desirable if have knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Act / Property Management / Residential leases and Private Equity business ownership
