In this role you will be tasked with optimising existing content as well as commissioning and producing new content designed to drive search traffic. As well as working as part of the online team you will also work closely with the company's development, design, print editorial, marketing, research, sales, search and social teams to maximise search traffic.



In the role you will be required to implement and contribute to the company's SEO and content strategy and meet agreed search referral traffic targets to help ensure the overall growth of the company. You will produce optimised news and feature content to help meet traffic goals and evangelise SEO within the wider content team and provide expert guidance. You will work closely with content producers to help them meet traffic targets and monitor technical SEO issues using Google Webmaster Console and web analytics tools. You will additionally monitor trending search terms and topic areas and suggest relevant content and keep up to date with industry and competitor developments and feed these back to the business.



The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of search engine optimisation and experience of producing content in a digital environment. You must also have experience of content management systems and using analytics packages e.g. Omniture or Google Analytics. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of online content production and be able to demonstrable knowledge of SEO requirements. Additionally you must have strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and collaborative approach.
