Are you Warehouse & Distribution expert responsible for delivering innovative solutions across warehouse/distribution, processes and systems to support new business initiatives? Our client is an instantly recognisable brand with a large warehouse & distribution function based in Leicestershire. They are predominately an FMCG biased business offering a range of B2B and B2C delivery solutions across the UK and Europe.



This newly created position will play a pivotal role in cementing improved warehouse & distribution processes as they continue to expand their product range, store network and e-commerce business which has grown in the region of 200% since its recent launch. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain/Logistics Director you will work closely with the Operations Management teams to generate continuous improvement solutions across warehouse/distribution infrastructure, processes and systems. These operational reviews will identify issues, alongside immediate and long term requirements for the distribution centre configuration and associated processes. You will be part of strategic and tactical leadership forums, seeking input from peers to develop new operations solutions that offer business benefit across all operational, financial and customer related objectives.



Leading these projects you will work with key stakeholders, developing the solutions you design including scoping, costings, data requirements, warehouse modelling, sensitivity analysis / scenario testing and user interface design and model testing on a variety of projects including those as simple as process improvement through to those that involve capital investment and radical business change.



You will manage and be supported by an Inventory Planning Analyst and an Inventory Planning Administrator to maintain storage and working capacity throughout periods of change and also to provide analytical support for warehouse performance statistics.



To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate previous experience of warehouse solutions design, ideally within large scale distribution environments. You will be well versed with Microsoft Excel and Access, along with project management tools, and will be highly numerate, accurate and detail focused. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as is having tenacity and the ability to overcome barriers with clarity and reasoning of thought.
