Junior Project Accountant

Calgary, Canada Area, CA - Construction, Architecture & Planning, Building Materials

Our client, a large construction company located in Southwest Calgary is seeking a junior project accountant to join their team. Reporting to the controller, the successful candidate will be part of dynamic team of project accountants.



In a typical day, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable; maintaining purchase orders; ensure month-end processes are completely accurately and timely; record financial forecast packages; monitor cash flow; and set up new projects as required.



You will have a minimum 1 year experience in a Project Accounting role in a construction or property development industry and hold a recognized degree or diploma in Accounting. You will have a minimum 2 years’ experience using an ERP accounting system and have full-cycle accounting experience. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals; answering queries and resolving contract issues as needed.
