Product Quality Engineer

China, CN - Consumer Electronics

- Responsible for all aspects of the outgoing quality portion of the production process, including performing audits, reviewing quality reports and driving outgoing quality test improvements into the factory process



- Work together with internal test, engineering and supplier quality teams and OEM partners to monitor outgoing quality through defined quality process



- Take ownership of outgoing quality during new product and sustaining production phases, with a strong focus on cosmetic quality and inspector training



Key Qualifications

• -Several years of engineering, production or product design in the consumer electronics and mobile phone industry is preferred


• -Good understanding of factory process and product quality life cycle, preferably with a background in Quality Assurance and Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control, Total Quality Management


• -Proven track record for leading technical teams in solving factory production quality related issues


• -Excellent spoken and written English with proficiency in Mandarin


• -Self-driven, focused and able to work independently and within a cross-functional team under pressure


• -Willing to travel to support projects across multiple locations within China as needed

Description



- Perform daily outgoing quality audits at production lines to monitor outgoing quality levels, analyze the data and coordinate quality improvement actions with the cross functional team



- Focus on top outgoing quality issues, cosmetic and functional, and lead investigations to understand root cause and drive improvement actions with relevant teams



- Support supplier site outgoing quality audits, hub and depot product screens as needed



- Continue to innovate and propose improvements to current outgoing quality processes and be the driving force for positive change



- Publish detailed, technical reports highlighting the factory outgoing quality status to internal team with good supporting data obtained through investigations and experiments



Education



- University or college graduated (BS/MS) with major in EE or ME related degrees, preferably with a Quality backgroun
