A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking to appoint a Purchasing Officer to join their hard working and highly motivated procurement and purchasing team for a period 6 months, with an opportunity to extend.





This position executes the purchasing plan and schedule management based on sales and product development requirements. You will work closely with the purchasing manager to assist with the smooth delivery of purchase orders and supply management tasks. You will need to liaise with internal departments on supply needs and assist with the ordering and pricing of goods from suppliers.



The ideal candidate will have similar experience as a purchasing officer, proven analytical and forecasting skills, and have strong time management skills to work within tight deadlines. It will be necessary to have excellent excel skills and ERP systems. Your strong negotiation and influencing ability will be an added advantage when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.





The role is highly customer and team focused to meet business commitments, an excellent contract role to support the purchasing manager with the increased workload.
