Infrastructure Engineering professionals analyze, design and/or build infrastructure solutions in the context of today’s evolving expectations and possibilities.
Job Description
A Infrastructure Engineering professional develops and delivers strategies and solutions for hosting and managing the resources and communications infrastructure -- including cloud platforms or physical servers, databases, storage devices, etc. -- that handle the applications and data necessary for enterprise operations.
Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.
Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accentureon matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility.
Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture
You will be involved in supporting the sales teams to shape and sell new deals, particularly in assessing and resolving client infrastructure engineering problems and proposing solutions. Represent the infrastructure engineering aspects for the client during the sales cycle.
Create, implement and manage a program office function in support of the execution of delivery or product work. Monitor and report progress to key stakeholders. May have responsibilities for the financial and operational management
Technical Skill Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and prior relevant business experience.
- Cloud technologies (public and private)
- Data Centre operations experience
- Virtualisation technology experience, especially VMWare
- Automation and orchestration experience
- Experience with storage technologies
- Experience designing server & storage solutions
- Ability to articulate development, operational and technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to express complex technical concepts, issues and ideas into various media; proposals, white papers, presentations and architecture designs
- Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable.

- Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Desire to work in an information systems environment with a focus on IT infrastructure
