- Create & develop external open innovation process based on the Want-Find-Get-Manage approach (or similar).
- Ability to evaluate technologies, identify promising candidates, and articulate possibilities to technical and non-technical colleagues. Works with Business Development and Legal to acquire rights to promising opportunities
- Develops and operates technology surveillance systems that provide early warning to emerging disruptive technologies and can map the relationships of science, competitors, suppliers and clinical studies
- Working with the GBTs, facilitates the Consumer Technical Model which documents the relationship between technology and consumer needs
- Provide technical due diligence to external ideas and technologies creating clear analysis and opinions
- Builds and manages a team of scientific professionals that monitor and connect Bayer Consumer Care to relevant emerging external technologies in a way that supports business growth
- Develops productive relationships with BHC to identify relevant Bayer science that could impact BCC Supports Design Thinking and New Ventures programs for technology search need
