The SOE Lead Engineer is responsible for successful design and implementation of the Standard Operating Environment (SOE). Working in an on-shore customer facing technical team the SOE Lead Engineer will have ownership of the technical components that make up the SOE solution including the Windows 8 gold image, software distribution and software management technologies. Working closely with the account Workplace Services Architect and account Chief Engineer the SOE Lead Engineer is expected to be able to provide technical leadership to the account and project team. This person needs to be comfortable working with local and off-shore teams in a multi-cultural environment.



The SOE Lead Engineer must be comfortable presenting technical information both internally and externally.



Qualifications

Experience and Skills

• Subject matter expertise in the deployment of Windows Desktops in an enterprise environment

• Subject matter expertise in Windows 7/8 and gold disk creation

• Strong knowledge of desktop management technologies including SCCM, GPO and WMI

• Good understanding of application packaging and deployment methods and best practice

• Strong customer facing experience. Must be able to lead technical discussions

• Experience creating technical documentation including architecture, design, implementation, operations and test documents

• Thorough understanding of the engineering lifecycle, including translating business requirements in to solutions

• Exposure to scripting technologies including PowerShell / Vbscript.

• Coordinate with other technology function to ensure orderly testing and implementation of new systems and changes to the processing environment.

• Interface with outside vendors to co-ordinate software and hardware problem resolution

• Implement system related procedures in compliance with business standards.

• Keep current on hardware and software developments.

• Must have at least 5 years relevant experience

• Excellent written, spoken and presentation skills to CxO level
