Job Description



The candidate will be part of the Asia Finance audit team based in Hong Kong, reporting to the Audit Coverage Director of Asia Corporate Audit Group and looking after the wealth management and private banking arm of the business.



Responsibilities:

The candidate will be able to complete risk assessments and work within a team to plan, execute and report findings; and supervise and support the management of audits and audit teams.



This includes having a good understanding and audit experience in private banking and wealth management areas as defined above. This person will be responsible for the preparation of audit planning memoranda, including identifying and evaluating key risks, setting audit scope, determining budgets and staff assignments. This person will manage all aspects of audits focusing on end to end processes.



This person will be participating in major business initiatives (client and Audit related) and actively assist Management on change initiatives. This person will be expected to lead audit engagements and ability to influence the business leaders on audit findings.



* Engage in Continuous Business Monitoring, including reporting issues and recommending appropriate and immediate intercession where needed.

* Conduct periodic monitoring of risk areas to identify emerging risks and trends.

* Coordinate with Internal Audit Division Management and Teams to develop effective techniques to identify and address emerging issues; identify opportunities to conduct efficient cross-functional audit; promote integrated auditing concepts; and use of technology/data analytics.

* Skills to manage train and develop staff.



Qualifications

* Up to ten years relevant experience in private banking or wealth management either with the products but must have prior experience in internal audit.

* Bright, motivated and good interpersonal and communication skills.

* CPA or international equivalent strongly preferred.

* Masters degree or relevant industry association qualification (e.g. FRM, CFA) preferred.
