This is a unique opportunity for a first time mover from accounting practice to obtain a Financial Controller role with a smallsubsidiaryof a large global business. This is a varied and busy role that would suit an experienced accountant who has the confidence and commitment to take on a FC role with a small manufacturing business. This hands on role will include overseeingthe day to day activities of the finance team and ensuring the companies finance function is organized and efficient and produces accurate financial and management accounts.



Your keyresponsibilities will include;Preparation of month end accounts for submission to the Group;Preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analysis thereof;Cash management and treasury duties, including forward exchange hedging contracts;Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented; Payroll; Preparation of tax returns including the monthly BAS, Fringe Benefits, Payroll Tax and Income Tax;Responsibility for year-end statutory audit and supervising a small team.



This is a hands on role in a small team, which may mean posting journals and covering AP and AR when the team is on leave.



Thesuccessfulapplicant will be proactive, able to work with minimal supervision and becomfortableinadhering to set systems andprocedures. This is position has been well maintained by theincumbent, and although there is limited scope to change the structure of the role or reporting there will be opportunities to improve systems andprocedures. The ideal applicant will come from an audit background and will have experience of working with SME businesses within the manufacturing, wholesale, import/ export or FMCG sectors
