QA Engineer I

Hewlett Packard is seeking a passionate engineer to join our QA existing team and contribute to the qualification of server-data protection products/technologies. As a Software Engineer, you have the opportunity to accelerate the delivery and improve the quality and performance of Hewlett Packard's data protection & recovery products. You will be working with world-class software engineers and responsible for designing, developing and implementing test automation in an agile environment to qualify new releases of data protection & recovery products. Your work will also contribute to a core foundation library and framework for automation testing and performance evaluation across Hewlett Packard's data protection & recovery products.



Responsibilities



· Learn and own one or more critical functional areas.



· With help from senior Automation engineers, work with development team to develop test strategies, test plans and test cases.



· Utilize the existing automation framework to automation test cases.



· Learn to maintain and extend the automation framework.



QUALIFICATIONS:



Education and Experience




  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent

  • Up to 2 years experience with software quality assurance and test automation.




Knowledge and Skills




  • Implementing software quality assurance tools and processes utilizing test automation tools and techniques.

  • Software testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.

  • Java and C++ programming experience, Python is a plus.

  • Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Understanding of design for software and firmware running on multiple platform types.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.

  • Previous experience with data protection technologies is a plus.

  • Desire to work in a team environment

  • Detail oriented, resourceful and creative.
