Our client, a leading transport and logistics provider are currently seeking an experienced .Net Developer (with web skills) to join their IT and Software development team on a full time basis. The role is available due to organic growth and expansion within the IT team and need for addition software skills in house for a number of ongoing projects.

Working closely with the IT director on new projects and existing projects the successful candidate will be responsible for software development of web and legacy applications as the primary function, but also assist with server and infrastructure maintenance from time to time when required.

With an ongoing need to be at the cutting edge of industry technology within the business, there are new applications being built such as development of a new website and warehouse automation system.

Main skill set will be VB.NET and / or C# with ASP.NET, SQL etc, but we're also looking for some web development skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS etc. Obviously any experience within logistics or 3PL would be an advantage. We need a strong communicator, written and verbally, plus the ability to fit well into a small IT team.

This is a settled, friendly IT environment offering very good work life balance which will suit somebody who doesn't minding getting involved with a wide range of technologies and projects.
