Development Manager (People Manager)

Costa Rica, CR - Computer Software

In this position the Manager will be in charge of an Application Management, Development Services or Projects Delivery team. Monitors the service delivery compliance to client, budget and/or internal businesses requirements. Provides application lifecycle technical support including development, project management, integration or on-going management following operational policies and processes that are compliant with ITIL industry standards. Manages the technical/service relationship between HP and the client, and between HP and subcontractors/vendors.

Key Responsibilities




  • Monitors the service delivery compliance to client, budget and/or internal businesses requirements.

  • Provides application lifecycle technical support including development, project management, integration or on-going management following operational policies and processes that are compliant with ITIL industry standards.

  • Manages the technical/service relationship between HP and the client, and between HP and subcontractors/vendors. Business Strategy: Plans, directs and monitors operational/tactical activities of the team.

  • Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility.Manages relationships with client contacts with the objective of maintaining and building the business. Looks for growth and efficiency opportunities - linked with innovation, proposals for improvements, new or expanded services. Financial: Plans for and delivers profitable services of a major program in terms of cost, direction and people management. If required, manages 3rd party vendors to contribute to contractual requirements.

  • People Management: Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Coaches and mentors direct reports. Directs and controls activities within a single country or a sub-region which is part of a larger geographical Region, Manages between 20 and 30 direct reports.




Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.Typically 8+ years of relevant experience. Agile lifecycle experience. Software Development background experience (.net, java, Apps Mobile, etc.).

  • Project Manager. Software Implementation Projects experience. Masters or advanced Degree in related field preferred. Multicultural and cross region experience desired. Knowledge and Skills: Leadership, Workforce management and development. Client Management, escalation managemente, client relationship building.

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presetntion. Industry sectorknowledge, System Applications Managemete knowledge.
