    Job Description:

    The successful candidate will participate in a team environment supporting a U.S. Government contract that provides personnel security management to DOD. Working independently or with other team members, the incumbent will interact with client representatives to define functional requirements, document them in accordance with prescribed standards, and support the development and testing of those requirements. Additional documents will be created/updated during the release lifecycle such as installation instructions and User Guides. In addition, extensive data analysis will be performed. This data analysis will be needed to respond to client queries, to evaluate data correction requests, to collect application/data metrics, and to respond to end user questions. Extensive client interaction is involved and requires superior interpersonal communications and relationship management skills. The ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, manage time, and work as part of a virtual team are integral parts of the task environment.








Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:


  • Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.




Knowledge and Skills:

Qualifications:


Under general direction, apply specialized knowledge in requirements development to conceptualize and design business and technical information technology solutions. Demonstrate the ability to understand multi-faceted client environment, objectives, and constraints. Develop an understanding of complex business processes and differentiate between functional and system requirements and design specifications. Interact with customers and extended team members to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction. Collect, identify, define, and organize detailed user, data, and information technology requirements. Coordinate and collaborate with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identify solutions that meet customer needs and expectations. Prepare and assist in the preparation of application requirements, system change requests, initial data analysis, and other requirements documents. Create and update additional documentation items through the release lifecycle such as installation instructions and user guides.


The candidate will be involved in the development of SQL queries for use in Ad Hoc Reports, analysis of data quality, collection of metrics, and data manipulation within SQL Server database. Strong data analytical skills and experience with the ability to communicate is a must. Solid working knowledge of relational databases and the SQL tool is needed.


Must be able to work in a team environment and independently with minimum management oversight. Must be extremely attentive to detail as the successful candidate will be reporting on and modifying production data for the customer. Must possess high energy and strong motivation to make a difference. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.


The work is fast paced with changing priorities. Task switching without loss of productivity is a must.


Pre-Requisites:


• U.S. Citizenship


• Current DoD Secret clearance


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Minimum of 3 years experience in requirements analysis with diverse client or project types.


• Minimum of 3 years experience in data analysis and strong working knowledge of SQL.


• Familiarity with use case preparation and a working knowledge of requirements management software is a plus.


• Must demonstrate a strong sense of self-motivation and direction


• Must possess strong motivation to make a difference


• Must be a team player


• Common office software skills (Word, Excel, Visio)


• Familiarity with Department of Defense personnel security issues is a plus


Location: Largo, MD. NOTE: Remote work is not available.
