Stock and Logistics Administrator
Glasgow, United Kingdom, GB - Logistics and Supply Chain
Due to an increase in business our client is looking to recruit a new member for their team, based in Glasgow. You will be responsible for the controlling and administering of daily stock movement and levels, for various commodities. You will also analyse all customer requests with a focus on providing the best customer service.
Responsibilities:-
· Execution of contracts within specified areas
· Planning contracts for delivery, releasing etc, and liasing with the haulage dept
· Reconcile and record all inward and outward stock movements
· Checking vessel due dates in conjunction with stock levels, ensuring no out of stock situations
· Effective on-going communication with the sales, stores and customers
· Reacting to spot & urgent delivery of collection requirements
· Understand and capture all haulage/storage recharges where appropriate.
· Understand all necessary aspects of the contract
· Invoicing for all customer sales
· Credit control
· Cost approval for all associated costs.
This is an interesting and varied role for an individual with a background in FMCG and Logistics admin and stock accounting.
You must have a sense of urgency and commitment, excellent interpersonal skills and good at relationship building. Ability to remain calm under pressure while continuing to perform effectively. numerical, good at problem solving, with a keen eye for detail.
