Chief Technologist (CT) for the China is the trusted technical advisor for China accounts.
The CT will develop and execute the strategic technology plans for the account by identifying, tracking, experimenting with, and transitioning into delivery new and potentially disruptive technologies and technology services that have the capability to enable new business models and business lines, increase revenues/profits, decrease costs, provide better products and services to the client.
The CT should be recognized internally and externally with proven business acumen covering several domains; and, technical knowledge on leading-edge solutions. The CT should demonstrate long-term or sustained innovation by providing measureable innovative business solutions to complex and critically sensitive issues affecting HP's clients. Determines and pursues courses of action essential in accomplishing strategic objectives.
The CT will also be expected to provide technical strategy leadership to the business at the local level. The CT may act as functional manager and serve as HP's spokesperson on specialized projects or programs. The CT maybe at times also required to provide mentoring and guidance to Master/Expert level employees.
Key Responsibilities:
· Establishes trusted advisor relationships at senior and executive levels for the account
· Leads key technical participation when needed on an account
· Understands client"s internal management alliances; shapes client thinking on governance, influences the strategic direction and acts as a transformation agent
· Provides technical direction to delivery on key transition and transformation initiatives
· Contributes to HP methods and tools community
· Promotes and drives innovation and thought leadership for an account
· Defines the technology strategy and plan; leads the technical dimension of Account Growth Plan
· Conceives and creates new technology programs to support on-going business and future business growth for an account
· Validates HP portfolio solutions against client needs, and shapes as necessary for client acceptance
· Leads client-level visioning sessions for an account
· Creates the annual technology roadmap for the account
· Drives client innovation programs
· Leverages the ACT Client Roadmap
· Shares knowledge and expertise through publishing, teaching and/or mentoring
· Proactively assists the development of the HP's CTO community
· Identify, pursue and win a break through sales opportunity with the account (break through means in an area where HP is not present to date)
· Actively assists in the development of the technical community. Shares knowledge and technical expertise through teaching and/or mentoring.
