• Diverse environment: Redhat, Ubuntu, Debian and Windows 2003 and 2008

This federal government department is looking to bring on board two Systems Administrators. These requirements have a focus on Linux (Redhat/Ubuntu/Debian) and Windows (03 and 08).



The specified personnel will be required to demonstrate extensive technical experience in the following skills: perform tasks required for Continual Service Improvement of existing operational systems; augment existing personnel providing support to existing operational systems; assist with the construction, deployment and maintenance of new ICT systems and platforms;



To be considered for these roles, you must possess the ability to perform administration and maintenance tasks on multiple operating systems including Linux distributions including Red Hat and Ubuntu/Debian and Microsoft Windows Server 2003-2012; experience deploying and maintaining virtualisation environments including VMWare ESX; a good understanding of ICT hardware and data centre deployments; the ability and willingness to produce clear and concise documentation, diagrams and procedures; basic networking skills and understanding of good ICT security practices.
