This leading Engineering consultancy covers a wide range of building projects that include minor house alterations and extensions, to major new buildings and refurbishment projects. They have worked on the strengthening and repair of many older buildings and also with some of the country's leading architects on the design of outstanding modern buildings and fit-outs.



An opportunity currently exists for a office manager and technical lead engineer to manage their Christchurch business. You will need to have strong experience in Structural Engineering for buildings and high rise projects. The business has won several new build projects and this position will be the technical lead on delivering these new build projects. In addition you will build a team around you as the Christchurch business expands and you will have support from national offices that have been operating in New Zealand for over 20 years.



This is an excellent career opportunity and a strategic position within the company for those Engineers seeking leadership and company ownership positions. It is intended that the appointee will become a shareholder and Principal after a short period and ultimately the person will manage and be responsible for the design output from this office.



To be successful you will be a BEng qualified Engineer, close to obtaining CPEng status is essential. You will also need project management experience with expertise in building biased projects and strong communication skills.
