Quality Engineer

QE Engineer (c. £30,000 - £37,000 pa)



Quality Engineer job open in Belfast. This is an opportunity for a Quality Engineer with extensive QE experience in a software development environment to join a company going from strength to strength in Northern Ireland. Currently employing 30 Engineers in Northern Ireland this client has a flexible working environment and is keen to employer Engineers who can work on their own initiative.



What you'll be doing

*Working within an agile Java development team to complete high quality software releases

*Authoring test cases for new features based on product requirements

*Coding integration tests and feature tests primarily using Java

*Continuous Improvement of existing tests

*Investigation of customer-reported issues



To do this job my client believes that as a Quality Engineer you should have the following skill set:

*4+ Years Experience in a Quality Engineering role within a Software Development environment

*Excellent problem solving and communication skills

*Experience writing test cases to a high standard

*Experience of developing software and/or tests using an Object Orientated programming language

*Confident working with Unix/Linux environment

*Team players who can also work on their own initiative



Bonus Points

*Experience in defining and executing formal performance tests

*Experience testing distributed or replication software

*Version Control knowledge (Git and/or SVN)

*Experience with Jenkins and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery methodologies

*Knowledge of Infrastructure Automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, Vagrant, Foreman

*Experience with UI automation libraries such as Selenium Webdriver
