Trading Manager, Base metals trading

Singapore, SG - Import and Export, Wholesale

Our client is an Asian Conglomerate who has just set up their trading arm in Singapore. They are looking for a Trading Manager to build up their base metals trading desk.

You will be reporting to the Trading Director and in charge of the metals trading business here in Singapore.

* Build up the base metals trading team in Singapore

* Responsible for building and developing new clients and business activities across the appropriate region in addition to maintaining relationships with existing clients.

* Have strong knowledge of the market and be able to inform manager, neighbors and customers of the market movements.

* Have strong negotiation skills with internal and external customers.

* Written and verbal daily contact with suppliers, receivers and service providers

* Coordinating the shipments with customers and suppliers

* Invoicing while observing and maintaining payments terms (Holding Certificates, CAD, Letters of Credit, Bank collections, Open Account etc.)

* Taking LME pricing orders and declaring quotational periods (QPs)

* Arranging for inspection, sampling, assaying and umpires of the various products

REQUIREMENTS:

You will have a strong overview of the global pattern of raw material supply and demand, a personal proven track record of profitable trading and marketing experience involving international markets. Strong contacts with mines, smelters, producers, traders, investors, banks and financial institutions. You need to have proof of trading a profitable book of refined metal Products especially Nickel, Copper, Aluminium, Tin & Zinc. At least 5-6 Years of significant working experience in the related field.
