Commercial Manager

My client, a world leading innovator in the manufacturing sector are currently looking to recruit for a Commercial Manager to join their organisation. With over 100 years of history and experience my client has the knowhow to offer the industry's widest range of products in their very niche market.

You will be responsible for providing all financial advice required for Sales activities through out the business. Maintaining an up-to date price book that carries out all calculations for special or non-standard enquiries and pricing. Directs all activities of the Customer Services Group.



· Maintains an up to date price book for all standard products, ensuring that all costs of manufacture are fully recognized, appropriate metal costs are included in the prices quoted and the views of Sales colleagues are obtained to establish a competitive market position and optimize the return to the Company.



· Advises the Sales Managers on all special pricing, liaise with production teams to establish optimum process routes. Endure that current and predicted metal prices and currency fluctuations are fully recognized. Carries out sensitivity calculations on major price in-put fluctuations.



· Carries out comprehensive reviews of major account formula contracts ensuring that such pricing agreements are appropriate and making recommendations for amendments where profit levels are inadequate.



· Maintains an ongoing analysis of competitive pricing activity. Initiates the sourcing of intelligence and co-ordinates data collection from all functions. Analyses annual reports of competitive and other appropriate organisations.



· Coordinates and produces financial aspects of capital investment plans.



· Supervises the activities of the Customer Services Team. Makes recommendations for service improvements and operating efficiencies.



You will ideally come from a Manufacturing business, with a Finance background either looking to go into, or having already moved into a commercial role.
