This government funded department is an expert in the field of environmental research. They are located throughout Australia, and have a history of providing scientific data for the purposes of the protection and sustainability of Australia's marine ecosystem.



They require an experienced Communications or Media Manager to step in and lead the communications, media and public relation projects within the organisation.



This role will see you supervising and managing a communications team of three staff, and assisting with major projects, as well as enhancing the organisation's public image. Strong written and verbal communication skills and tertiary qualifications in this field are essential. In depth media release knowledge is crucial, as well as having the ability and prior experience to deal with all aspects of PR within government, media and the general public. Previous familiarity in writing and editing a range of print and online media including articles, bulletins, newsletters, web pages, and other publications, is vital to your success.



This role will allow you to utilise your Communications and Media Experience with the benefits of working with a large government organisation. You will be employed on a contract basis for a period of approximately six months on a salary of circa $97,000.
