EL1 Senior Media Advisor

An exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Media Advisor has arisen in a Federal Government Department.



You will actively contribute to the overall effectiveness and leadership of the Communication division by leading reputation management, media engagement and Ministerial support activities. You will oversee issues management and steer the department's national media presence.



You will develop and implement the strategic direction of the Media & Communication team, as well as manage a high-performing team to deliver effective media communication, Executive & Ministerial advice, and high-quality multimedia content.



Your strong liaison and interpersonal skills will enable you to manage relationships with a range of stakeholders. Exemplary communication skills, both oral and written, are also must.



To be successful in this role you will have extensive media experience working within a fast paced environment. You will be able to demonstrate your experience in leading teams to achieve specific outcomes, and have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Previous APS media experience will be highly advantageous.
