My clients, a large Glasgow based software house, are looking to recruit a Java programmer to join their growing team. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and fast paced agile environment and work closely with a team of highly skilled developers on multiple projects.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following experience:

Experience of business critical Java projects involving three or more developers lasting at least two to three months. These should be across the full project life cycle from project inception to handover to support
· Experience of providing development support (that is analysis of issues and development of fixes)
· Experience interfacing with third party systems via web services or other APIs
· Knowledge of XML (including SAX/DOM parsing, XSL-T, XPath, DTD, XSchema)
· Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server or another enterprise level RDBMS
· Experience developing web applications using HTML 5, CSS and JavaScript
· Knowledge and understanding of good development process including requirements capture, documentation and version control
· Good communication skills, both written and oral
