Javascript Developer

My client a large Glasgow based software house are looking to recruit a Javascript programmer to join their growing team. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and fast paced agile environment and work closely with a team of highly skilled developers on multiple projects. The right person for the role is likely to have a background with several object-oriented programming languages in addition to being highly skilled in Javascript.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following experience:

· At least 3 years professional programming experience in a commercial environment, and at least 2 years coding in Javascript
· Use of object-oriented Javascript
· Previous experience with a Javascript MVC framework to create a complex application, such as Ember, Backbone, Knockout, Angular etc
· Use of URL routing for application control and navigation
· Experience in making applications that can work offline, and cache management
· Use of Javascript to store and manage data including use of browser SQLite database, persistence frameworks such as persistencejs
· Unit testing, using QUnit or similar framework
The role will involve:
· Specifying and documenting requirements for the new generation of client applications on multiple mobile platforms
· Coding the business and application logic of the client application, making use of Restful web services exposed on the server
· Maintaining coherence with the application's programming model and software design principles
· Writing and carrying out unit tests on developed code
