Accounts Manager

Hays Public Practice are delighted to be working with a Top 10 firm in Norwich, who is seeking an Accounts Manager to work closely with the partners, managing the Business and Accounting team in the Norwich office.



The role would suit an ambitious senior seeking to progress or an experienced manager with previous portfolio management experience, who is keen to move to a firm which can further their career and expand their knowledge across a wide range of sectors.



· Manage a portfolio of diverse small and medium sized clients, develop close working relationships with the clients and identify opportunities to add value to their business and operations.

· Work closely with local and national audit teams to provide accounts preparation services to the broad range of clients both locally and nationally.

· Manage resource requirements, budget and manage teams of junior colleagues, review and resolve outstanding issues and provide Partners and Directors with completed files ahead of client meetings.

· Attend client meetings with Partner / Director. Occasionally lead meetings with clients either on site or at firm's premises.

· Lead Norwich Business Services and accounting team, supervise junior staff, act as counselling manager to team, develop talent, contribute to regional staffing groups and report directly into regional Partner/Director team.

· Retain, develop and motivate our employees (includes participating in recruitment), ensure job appraisal documentation is completed within deadlines and ensure appropriate objectives and development plans are in place for counselees

· Work closely with local Partner / Director group to further develop the firm's market offering. Attend and take ownership of local networking commitments. Further develop the brand locally and generate new client leads / conversions. Act as an ambassador of the firm, keep abreast of the wide range of services the firm offer and suggest innovative products and services
