As Logistics Procurement Manager, you will join an industry-leading organization in supply chain management and get engaged in various supply chain related activities. PROCUREMENT

- Responsible for specific portfolio(consisting of countries/business groups/programs)

Contract Management &Negotiation

- Develop country/region procurement& LSP strategy

- Overall management of contracts in the portfolio

- Maintain contract spend

- Be accountable to negotiate all contracts as per HP policy and guidelines

- Deliver most competitive pricing o meet business needs and growth prospects

- Evaluate/Determine the most effective pricing model



RFQs /RFIs/ RFPs / Focused Negotiations

- Launch / manage RFQs / RFIs / RFPs/ Focused Negotiations

- Design RFQ strategy



Cost Management

- Rate Card Management

- Manage adhoc payments

- Cost related performance /measurement metrics

- Deliver / track committed savings

- Audit of savings numbers

- Meet cost reduction goals



Market Intelligence

- Actively lead in market intelligence efforts

- Collect / analyze market intelligence on suppliers /services / trends



Identify new suppliers / Partner selection

- Explore opportunities to engage new suppliers

- Improve / improvise supplier selection process; ensure only the most competitive suppliers partner with HP



Process improvement

- Engage with suppliers /operations for process improvement opportunities



Partner Management : Manage assigned logistics partners for

- manage specific partners on a global level (as Global Account Manager)

- process improvement initiatives

- Monthly Quarterly /Semi-annual / Annual Procurement Reviews

- Market information

- New services / trends in the market

- business plan

- Finance related matters

- Keep partners informed on developments within HP organization / thought process / strategies

- Manage LSPs score card/performance / cost metrics



Qualifications
Education and Experience Required


  • First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.

  • Typically 6-10 years of experience in Logistics and procurement or supply chain function.

  • Open to fresh graduate/ post graduate degree holder

  • Must be able to speak either Chinese, Japanese or Korean


Knowledge and Skills Required


  • Excellent understanding of global procurement processes, industry, and complex suppliers.

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint) and supply chain modeling skills. Strong knowledge, use and influence of procurement tools and applications.

  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities. Strong Project Management Skills

  • Excellent team leadership and influencing skills

  • Mastery in English and local language

  • Ability to create a contract from standard HP or customized contract templates with limited supervision. Applies cause and effect thinking to identify challenging contact risk areas. Capable of drafting contract solutions in known contract risk areas to obtain acceptable outcomes with limited supervision. Strong understanding of contracting

    principles. Ability to close complex deals in a timely fashion.

  • Strong ability to develop suppliers strategically.

  • Strong understanding of HP business units and HP business strategy.

  • Excellent cultural knowledge of supplier locations

  • Excellent Industry and Market knowledge in function area
