Financial Analyst



Serve as a Business Systems Analysis and Reporting within the Global Sales Operations team group; provide support to the Sales Compensation Operations department.



Gather large amounts of data from multiple source systems (data mining) in order to complete root cause analysis and perform or identify system maintenance to correct issues. Collaborate extensively with business and technical units; assist with the development of business, system, and functional requirements.



POSITION DESCRIPTION:



The Sales Operations Business Systems and Reporting Analyst– contributes to the support of ongoing Sales Compensation Operations, Reporting, and System Administration. This is a technically savvy, analytical, process-oriented individual, who will work closely with our Sales Operations, Sales Compensation Operations and Design, and other departments to resolve user support cases and provide configuration, solution design, requirements gathering, and system testing in support of the Salesforce.com and Xactly platforms. He/she must be able to perform a variety of responsibilities, ranging from daily administration, reporting, in depth analysis, configuration and data assignments for ongoing maintenance, and tier level 2 supports for the sales compensation teams. He/she must be comfortable working with cross-functional teams within Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance.



Responsibilities

· Assist with the management of day-to-day Salesforce.com and Xactly end user support cases, resolving in an efficient and timely manner.

· Provide ongoing support in the areas of Xactly and Salesforce.com administration, configuration, data migration, reporting, etc.

· Actively work with system users to identify business problems and gather, analyze, and document any business or system requirements as required.

· Assess system impacts, gap and process analysis. Document business processes as appropriate.

· Foster positive relationships with system users and serve as an advocate on their behalf, with a focus on identifying opportunities to drive adoption and improve system use and efficiency

· Serve as subject matter expert for Salesforce.com and Xactly for the Sales Operations and Sales Compensation Operations and Design teams.

· Proactively identify opportunities to add value through the various systems as well as potential issues and partner with the Salesforce.com and Exactly operations team as necessary.

· Responsible for any other projects/duties as assigned by management.

· Accountable for providing support in multiple business projects for key initiatives including systems development and implementation of compensation plans.



· Development and quarterly generation of pacesetters report.

· Weekly/Monthly and ad hoc sales inventory reports.

· Build, maintain and support, all SF.com and Xactly reports aligned to sales credit review.

· Perform any other systems, analysis, reporting duties as assigned.



Essential Job Functions




  • Performs highly complex financial analyses including budgeting, trend analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling; develops and implements capitalization methods, and reviews journal entries to meet business needs.

  • Collects budget, midyear forecast and other financial information; interprets, summarizes, and uploads forecast information to financial systems to provide information about profit and loss; may provide budget assistance to other department management.

  • Analyzes budget, midyear forecast and other financial information and prepares presentations with recommendations to senior management and corporate office; communicates with management and the corporate office regarding financial issues.

  • Develops financial controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements.

  • Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.

  • Forecasts accurate and timely cash flow projections, sales projections, and expense projections to ensure that business needs are met.

  • Assists department managers with the budgeting process by working with department managers through the development process of each budget.

  • Assists in developing and implementing process or procedural changes, including training documentation and presentation to other organizations. Collaborates with other departments in special projects as required.



    Qualifications:



    Basic Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field preferred

    • Seven or more years of finance or accounting experience

    • Experience working with accounting principles and accounting software and databases

    • Experience working with financial analysis
