The newly created City Architect position within Blacktown City Council will lead, direct and coordinate the overall design strategy for the city. This exciting and rare industry opportunity will improve the quality of design and influence the future urban environment within Blacktown City and Western Sydney.



As a senior leader you'll coordinate and foster the Council's design language across architecture, engineering, landscape and the planning departments and implement a vision to enhance the urban design of the city.



Contributing to the enhancement of the public realm within the city, you'll implement the highest quality design, details and finishes, creating inspirational landmark projects with the city.



An innovator in design excellence with strong leadership and project management experience is sought for this role. This is a unique opportunity with flexibility to be a full or part-time position.



This role has a closing date of Monday 20th April.
