Software Developer (C#.Net) - Belfast





Software Developer required in a leading technology company in Belfast to build innovative capability through developing new feature sets and functionality within and around our suite of products using the following; C#.NET, SQL server, SharePoint, Azure, O365, JavaScript, JQuery. This is ideally a position for an experienced C#.Net Developer who can assume responsibility for designing, implementing and unit testing components of medium to high complexity.



Main duties include (but are not limited to):

> Design, implement and unit test components and functionality for new and existing products

> Take ownership of product areas as defined by Head of Development

> Mentor, supervise and set example for Software Engineers

> Ensure adequate unit and integration testing of components before delivery to QA team

> Work with QA, Support and Engagement teams to prioritise and resolve issues

> Provide viable estimates and assist in implementation of prototypes and proofs of concept

> Ensure that all relevant standards and procedures are applied and appropriate deadlines are met

> Any other reasonable duties as required by Management.



Essential Criteria:

> A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or a related discipline

> At least 4 years' experience of C# .NET development

> Excellent communication skills both written and oral

> Current right to work in UK (in own right)



Desirable Criteria:

> Experience of SQL Server

> Experience of Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2010/2013

> Experience of ASP.NET development

> Experience of development in a multi-threaded environment

> Experience of working in an agile team environment

> Experience of web services/WCF development

> Experience of working in a high pressure team environment

> Experience of working both within a team and autonomously

> Willingness to travel and work on customer sites as necessary
