Financial Accountant

My client a leading global business and a supplier to a portfolio of high profile clients around the world, has an excellent job opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join them as Financial Accountant.



As Financial Accountant you will be in charge and accountable for the Group companies within EMEA.



Job duties will include:

• Monthly/Quarterly/yearly closing of UK local accounts and IFRS reporting

• Preparation and analysis of P&L

• Internal Reporting and Compliance

• Undertaking extensive analysis including; performance analysis/ profitability analysis/margin analysis/ expense

• Assist in execution of budget planning process

• Preparation of rolling forecasts

• Maintaining finished goods standard costs and executing finish goods standard costing run

• External Reporting and Compliance (local VAT filing, tax return and related UK tax related filing, Statutory Report filing and legal compliance)

• Maintaining fixed asset register & reconcile monthly to General Ledger

• Accounting and reconciliation of General Ledger control accounts, including payroll accounts, income tax and social security

• Preparation of monthly/quarterly VAT returns

• Providing a business partnering service to non-financial managers and providing ongoing decision support

• Liaising with auditors and external advisors

• Taking a lead role in key projects



The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with significant financial accounting experience, experience of local GAAP and IFRS and experience in statutory reporting.



Furthermore you will possess superior analytical skills, commercial acumen and the ability to see the bigger commercial picture behind the numbers.
