• Immediate start 3 month contract, DIDO Bowen Basin

One of Queensland's major coal operators is now offering a 3 month contract opportunity for a Mining Engineer to focus on data analysis and improvements within Coal Production, on site within the Bowen Basin region. The role is only suited to a current resident of the Bowen Basin Region as it requires a DIDO Mon -Fri day shift only roster, with camp accommodation provided, if required during roster. FIFO is not an option.



With relevant experience in a Mining Engineer role in an open cut coal mining environment, your key responsibility within this technical role will be to achieve production improvements. A strong focus will be on daily and weekly data reviews, identifying and implementing process improvements and auditing departments on lean items. You will be expected to use your judgement and expertise in implementing quick change over's for improvements in production, as well as SWI reviews when required.



Relevant Qualifications in Engineering are required, as well as SAP and Lean methodology experience. You will ideally have specialised experience in coal mining, pump and earthworks, mine site road maintenance and mine dispatching. A current Generic Standard 11 Induction and a Coal Board Medical within 24 months are key requirements of this role, as well as your effective organisational and communication skills. This role requires an immediate start, so all applications will be processed in a matter of urgency.
