Responsibility of a System Calibration and Instrumentation Engineer will be to design and deploy an effective measurement system that includes methodologies, hardware, software, instrumentation and fixture...etc. This engineer will work closely with the Design and Validation groups to ensure the success of current and future Apple products.
Key Qualifications
- C/C++ and Matlab are required. Objective-C experience is a definite plus.
- Hands-on experience in measurement systems (characterization, test and validation).
- Hands-on experience in motors, sensors and/or robotics a definite plus.
- Self-motivated, independent, and proactive.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, highly cross-functional and fast pace environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
Description
The job responsibilities of this individual engineer will include design, develop and deploy the measurement systems at product level:
- Define the appropriate measurement methodology.
- Collaborate with different teams to create, define and document any measurement metrics and specifications.
- Design precise alignment system that can take the environment into account.
- Develop repeatable and reproducible instrumentation that meets requirements.
- Drive various vendors to deliver the measurement system before the build event.
- Bring up, debug and mature the measurement system during NPI cycle.
- Communicates and present to management in term of strategies, data and status.
Education
Bachelors or Masters in Science in EE, CE, CS, or equivalent.
Additional Requirements
- 2+ years of related work experience in fingerprint/ security device Industry
- Firmware/ Embedded programming experience is highly desired.
- Familiarity with Python, Pearl will be good.
