Strategic Communications Officer

Strategic Communications Officer -Central London 3 months -start ASAP -£275 Ltd p/d



An opportunity has become available to join a London-based transport authority as a Strategic Communications Officer. This role is a 3 month position and will pay up to £275 Ltd per day.



The main purpose of this role is to help develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans for various projects.



The post holder should demonstrated they have the ability to mix effectively and confidently with key stakeholders, including senior management within the organisation as well as Ministers, MPs, London Assembly Members, private developers, business representatives and others key groups.



The post holder will require excellent organisational and time management skills to ensure effective co-ordination of communications work streams for cross modal projects.



The postholder must be able to demonstrate they can produce and assimilate concise and coherent pieces of research and briefings on complex issues to tight deadlines



Experience of working in a varied political environment essential, with experience within the transport sector an additional advantage.



The other key duty of this role involves implementing campaigns and managing marketing projects which will include:



* Project Planning

* Writing creative and factual copy for a range of audiences and marketing materials including press releases and marketing materials

* Competent Digital skills



The successful candidate for this role needs to have had experience working in a marketing or communications role -as well as experience of project managing campaigns .



Excellent communication skills and knowledge of PR and marketing (including print, broadcasting and online media) are also essential.
