Trade finance manager, commodity trading firm

Singapore, SG - Accounting, Banking, Import and Export

* Liaise closely with Trading and Operations Teams to ensure timely secularization of financing/risk underwriting.

* Placing transactions with financing banks and further liaising with same throughout the life of the transaction.

* Issuance of Letters of Credit and Bid/Performance Bonds.

* Checking workability of Export Letters of Credit and requesting amendments

* Ensure financial security for each shipment is in good order before giving the approval to load/discharge to the Operations team.

* Checking confirmation/discount rates with banks and updating internal records.

* Raising Invoices and documents plus negotiation/discounting of same with banks and counterparties for payment.

* Maintaining strong relationships with financing (and other) banks including negotiation of bi-lateral facilities as and when required.

* Ensure the proper drafting/countering of financial documentation.

* Chasing for cancellation of expired Bid and Performance Bonds.

* Organisation of expired files.

* General filing as and when required.



Requirements:

* 8-10 years in trade finance area from commodity firms

* Well organised and able to work independently.

* Good communication skills
