Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Hartford, Connecticut Area, US - Aviation & Aerospace, Building Materials

Perform maintenance and / or inspection tasks including ground handling activities on aircraft supporting UTFlight, aircraft powerplants, systems and aircraft communications equipment in accordance with UTFlight and FAA maintenance policies/regulations, service manuals, manufacturer specifications and bulletins, inspection procedures, and verbal instructions to maintain aircraft airworthiness/certification in order to achieve a superior quality, and timely product, in an economical manner. Perform diversified scheduled and unscheduled maintenance relating to the repair, alteration, service and inspection of structure, hydraulic, pneumatic, communication, navigation, surveillance, electrical, electronic systems and components installed on complex business aircraft. Investigate and analyze malfunctions reported by flight crews or detected through inspection, and utilize proper tools, instruments or test equipment best suited for the task to analyze and repair. Ensure that all activity and record keeping is in compliance with Federal Aviation, Federal Communications Commission, Department of Transportation Regulations and UTFlight procedures. Responsible for the preplanning of required tooling, equipment and safety precautions necessary to perform required maintenance and general environment of work area as they affect personal safety and general health of peer associates. Also responsible for those tasks required to support the work control and inventory management systems and any other administrative tasks required to support the maintenance function.
