• Performing all aspects of electrical engineering design (specifically power distribution) as a senior or lead engineer, including Conceptual Studies, Program Requirements, Design Analysis, Calculations, Equipment selection and layout, and System selection and layout for building design and site electrical utilities. • Work independently providing support, field engineering and detailed design and engineering support. • Collect and analyze technical data for design or feasibility studies. • Evaluate performance and life-cycle operational requirements and develops engineering design to meet customer requirements. • Prepare layouts and specifications; review design proposals and drawings; and assure that specifications meet performance requirements. • Apply specialized engineering knowledge and training to analyze and resolve design and production issues. • Translate design to drawing of power distribution systems. • Perform voltage drop calculations, load analysis and any additional calculations used in the selection of and proving electrical system designs. • Effectively use Computer Aided Design principles and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Access and Power Point. • Demonstrate the ability to work in an open communicative environment, and be able to adapt to changing design requirements rapidly. • Attend meetings and provide professional recommendations as requested. • Professionally interface with customers and vendors. • Prepare engineering sketches to help designers and drafters to complete engineering drawings. • Check and review documents produced by other members of the department for completion and accuracy. • Develop and apply advance methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex technical problems. • Plan, conduct, and evaluate projects or moderate phases of significant projects, coordinating efforts with engineers and staff. • Develop and perform formal technical reports summarizing analyses, calculations and engineering studies.
