The Solution Architect is an influential and customer-facing role, engaged in the pre-sales lifecycle, developing solutions in response to customer requirements and also for the identification and solution development of opportunities that will enhance the end user experience. This involves elements of selling the Atos solution services to existing and new name customers.
This role is part of a customer facing team responsible for the service and development of the solution process ensuring continued improvements and reducing cost base. This involves building up a detailed and in-depth understanding of the stake-holders requirements, defining and improving the solution process and pre-sales processes and evaluating business value; whilst ensuring compliance with the company and, for existing customers, the account technical standards.
Working in the Solution and Proposal Office, the Solution Architect will typically be engaged when in medium, complex opportunities, or as part of a team in larger opportunities.
The Solution Architect will be required to:
Engage directly with customers in support of the clarification or shaping of needs; definition of requirements and priorities, identification of solution options and development of solutions
- Ensure that customer and internal stakeholders stay informed of progress and aware of the choices available to them throughout the lifecycle of a solution, and that the emerging solution meets their needs.
- Take responsibility for the technical, service and commercial design of the solution, ensuring that it is a financially viable solution and meets the customers’ requirements
- Conform to all business process, standards and guidelines as appropriate.
- Ensure that solutions are in line with Account and Atos technical standards

Essential criteria:
Provenskills in designing infrastructure solutions across one or more portfolio area
Aprofessional and dynamic approach that demonstrates a clear passion fordelivering world class IT services and solutions
Have asuccessful track record of delivering technical solutions against set targetsand deadlines
Havedemonstrable knowledge of current and emerging IT developments and industrytrends
Abilityto design end-to-end solutions based on standard portfolio (service catalogue)and associated solution modules / building blocks
Abilityto design and validate business cases on associated costing to the designedsolution and migration
Knowledgein various methodologies to estimate effort (estimation tools &methodology, estimation guidelines).
Knowledgeon risk management (assessment, mitigation, residual cost calculation).
Managementof stakeholders at all levels and able to articulate the precise nature of anygiven situation appropriately to the target audience whether technical ornon-technical.
Desirable criteria:
Aproven successful track record in Solution design in a pre-sales environment
Have aproven track record of successfully working with technical teams throughout thepre-sales lifecycle
Haveexperience of working in industry or commerce in a multinational environment,ideally within a quoted IT service / outsourced service provider
Haveproven ability to provide solutions in accordance to defined businessprocesses, standards and guidelines
