This federal government department is looking to bring on board an Infrastructure Architect on an initial 6 month contract with a strong possibility of a further 6 month extension.



The successful candidate will: review existing network and hardware infrastructure for cost and performance efficiency; prepare, implement and review infrastructure / network architecture and high level design; contribute to the development of ICT enterprise infrastructure and network architecture and related ICT capability systems; maintain the development and validation of IT requirements for ICT projects; produce and/or contribute to roadmaps and recommendations related to ICT investments with a focus on infrastructure and network and architecture.



To be successful in this role, you must possess: Infrastructure Architecture experience; experience with Active Directory, Exchange, Server Database, Virtualisation and Storage Architecture and a background in Red Hat Linux and/or Windows Server. Network Architecture and Desktop Virtualisation experience will be considered a distinct advantage.
