The Business Analyst in the Retail Systems and Technology group is responsible for creating and maintaining the partnership between business needs and technology delivery to Retail employees and customers. The Business Analyst's primary responsibilities for Retail Systems projects are to gather and document business requirements, validate system design, manage issue resolution through the development phase, and to support the user acceptance process prior to implementation. He or she acts as facilitator, advisor, consultant, and educator through each phase of the project lifecycle.



Key Qualifications




  • Superior knowledge of IT project lifecycle.

  • Strong knowledge and proven work experience with retail store operations and systems, including web-based applications.

  • Experience with writing use cases and detailed requirements.

  • Flexibility to handle directional changes and ability to concurrently manage multiple projects.

  • Experience with developing and improving upon existing processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate relevant information to peers and management.

  • Strong facilitation skills. Must be able to gather requirements from various personalities across organizational and geographical boundaries.

  • Process-driven analysis skills and a background in various requirements elicitation methods.

  • Passionate dedication to the delivery of consistent and unparalleled customer service.

  • Oral and written fluency in English required.

  • Knowledge of Apple core product, iOS and operating systems.

  • Knowledge of Retail Systems is preferred.

  • Some domestic and international travel will be required.

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.




Description



Work with application product managers to set and execute application roadmaps.

Work with cross-functional team members to develop business cases to support the system needs of Retail stores.

Work with cross-functional team members in the definition, development, testing, implementation and support of functional requirements.

Work with cross-functional team members to document “as is” and “to be” processes.

Work with cross-functional team members to document and gain approval on project requirements.

Work with IT and business partners to ensure systems designs meet business requirements.

Responsible for negotiating project timeline and engaging appropriate business resources to be involved in successful implementation of the project.

Responsible for coordinating, facilitating and documenting outcome for project status meetings.

Responsible for supporting user acceptance testing phase (e.g., identified issues related to requirements and solution design).

Responsible for facilitating and documenting results of post implementation review of project.



Education



Degree in Business Administration/IS/Process Management or equivalent



Additional Requirements



Retail or Apple Retail experience is a plus.
