An exciting opportunity for a dedicated and capable Vice Principal - Business Development has arisen in one of the country's largest College groups. The group includes one of the largest FE colleges in the UK and a national training provider, with a turnover of £65m annually. The group services c.17,000 learners each year as a college from a diverse variety of backgrounds, and almost 10,000 apprentices across the country, working with employers like Waitrose, B&M and Laing O'Rourke. With state-of-the-art facilities, Beacon status, Gold Investors in People status and an excellent purpose-built estate across the city, the College itself is home to ground breaking innovation and involved in a wide variety of exciting new developments across the city and the wider educational landscape.
The VP Business Development will be responsible for the creation of and conversion of external business opportunities to successful commercial initiatives and the acquisition and recruitment of students as part of the core business. The successful candidate will also be responsible for raising the College's profile externally with employers, industry and community stakeholders, securing the College's position as a key influencer across the city region and at a national level.
As the responsible senior post-holder, the VP Business Development is accountable for the strategic leadership and performance of the College's Business Development functions, including business development; sales; marketing, communications and recruitment. The delivery of Apprenticeships also falls within this portfolio and will be subject to the same standards and aspirations in terms of quality performance as the learner responsive provision delivered within the College.
