Microsoft Applications Specialist

Prestigious opportunity with a Market Leading organisation for an experienced Microsoft applications specialist! You will be responsible for the IT infrastructure, its development and its management, encompassing evaluation, deployment and management of systems management tools. In this key strategic role you will provide regular infrastructure capacity and usage reports to ensure a well-managed and available IT infrastructure. You will be required to dedicate your expertise around infrastructure services to disaster recovery, support, administration and development of the Core Infrastructure virtual environment, in addition to supporting and administrating the Windows Server and Active Directory environment. Successful candidates will possess a combination of the following skills:-
- SAN storage expertise, specifically HP EVA and MSA technologies
- Server infrastructure expertise, specifically HP c-Class blade technologies
- Network switching and routing competence, specifically HP ProCurve
- VMware ESX competence, especially VMware storage concepts
- HP Systems Insight Manager
- GFI NSM
- Windows Server technologies
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Exchange 2003 and above
- Thin Client (Microsoft Terminal Services)
- Networking principles (e.g. DNS, DHCP)
- Remote Access (VPN) and Internet technologies
