This exciting and rare opportunity for a Supermarket Store Manager focusing on a large groceries store in the Leonora, Goldfields are has now become available. This fantastic opportunity is to take over and manage a large grocery store that's a vital aspect of the township and services a large Indigenous population as well as the local township and surrounding mining camps and industrial sites.
Our client is happy to consider candidate's who wish to relocate to this quaint mining town where 'work-life balance and quality of life' are the first considerations along with being part of a friendly community where you are able to make a difference. A fully furnished home is waiting for you along with a company vehicle. All of your utility bills will be paid in full and Foxtel will also be provided for you.
The purpose of the role is to manage the day-to-day operations of the store and be accountable for the agreed store budgetary results. In this role you will be accountable for the Revenue, Gross Profit, the Direct costs for the store, the effective store operations, in-store marketing and promotions, compliance along with managing staff and customers.
The successful candidate will have experience managing a retail team of about 30 people, be culturally sensitive and capable of integrating him or herself into a small regional township and build professional and trusting relationships. The person should be resilient and community minded. No less than 3 years grocery retail experience is essential in either an independent or retail store with a minimum annual turnover of $5m.
The Successful Candidate:
* Will have a minimum of 3 years grocery experience gained at management level where you have successfully managed a large team of retail staff
* You will have knowledge and experience of grocery retail operations
* Demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
* Be a strong people manager and a leader who has outstanding people skill
* Have a passion for retail grocery and driving a business to the next level
* Possess strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
* Demonstrate strong retail management experience having managed senior manager and retail store staff
* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are encouraged to apply
The Benefits for You:
* $75k-$80k + super base salary (this is negotiable)
* 5 weeks holiday + sick leave
